Hypoallergenic beddings and linens

Yesterday as i study eczema and other types of akin allergies i came across a special type of beddings and linens for people prone to allergens, they are hypoallergenic or allergy bedding and linens.

Normal bedding and linens have very loosely woven fibers where dust, dead skin cells, pet dander, and other irritants easily get lodged in the fibers and stay. With allergy bedding the fibers are typically woven much tighter so that there are less “pockets” for these things to settle into. This type of bedding also works to encase your entire bed so that you have less dust and dust mites that can settle into your actual mattress and box springs.

Allergy bedding is usually just as affordable as any other type of linen so I think it’s nice to invest in this kind of anti-allergy type of bedding. You can protect your lungs, your skin, your respiratory system, and everything else from sensitivity and irritants. Consider it as a worthwhile investment in your overall health.

Eczema

I’m currently searching for articles related to nutrition and health for my new blog. And in just a few days of searching and reading I already learned so much about caring for our body. I glad I have considered this topic because it really helps me learn more about many diseases, its cures and preventive measures.

This morning, I studied about Eczema, it’s a dermatological term for extra dry or inflamed skin. It’s also known as: atopic eczema, atopic dermatitis and infantile eczema. Eczema is a chronic skin disorder characterized by itching rashes, which may be red, scaly, dry, or leathery. Just look for eczema pictures online to see how this skin disease looks like.

Anyway, I’ll just post my health blog’s link here as soon as i’ve finished my article/post about Eczema. Stay tuned.

Ciara Sotto’s wedding

A Christian wedding ceremony was held at the Manila Polo Club, Makati City, Sunday afternoon, Jan. 17, for Ciara Sotto and Jojo Oconer. Ciara was the last of the four children of former Sen. Tito Sotto and Helen Gamboa to get married.

I learned that Jojo Oconer is the COO of Tony Tuviera’s APT Entertainment (producer of Eat, Bulaga! and co-producer of the 2009 Metro Filmfest entry Ang Darling Kong Aswang with OctoArts Films and M-ZET Productions).

The couple is preparing for their honeymoon in Maldives and will settle down at their own condo unit a stone’s throw from the Sottos’ house in White Plains, Quezon City.

Prenatal vitamins and hair growth

I’m suffering from hair loss and it’s very alarming. My aunt recommended black patchouli soap bar, she said her son used it and it’s effective. I tried it but I’m not comfortable using the soap bar for my hair because of its stickiness. So I just search the net for other solutions.

I read an interesting article today that prenatal vitamins can cause hair growth. There has been research done that showed a correlation between hair thickness and growth and prenatal vitamin intake. Most prenatal vitamins include a greater amount of folic acid as well as calcium. Folic acid has been included in a lot of studies and been shown to assist in the growth of hair. Some hypothesize that it is the folic acid increase in prenatal vitamins that cause hair growth. Some say that folic acid works so well because it assists in the formation of new cells.

Hmm if only prenatal vitamin can be taken as a regular vitamin supplement I will surely give it a try.
