Advantages of steel buildings

Are steel buildings earthquake proof? My 11 year old son asked last night. I really don’t know what is the exact answer to his question. I also wonder how durable are the steel buildings are when a high intensity earthquake strikes compared to buildings made of concrete. But one thing i know for sure, they do not collapsed as fast as concrete buildings, so i believe buildings made of steel is a safer place not just against earthquake but for other natural disasters like tornadoes, wind storms and sand storms.

Other advantages of steel buildings are their being resistant to termites. Also a steel building is very easy to assemble, with concrete, wooden, and brick buildings you will take a lot of time in the construction and will cost more due to labor.

DepEd will implement K+12 program in academic year 2012-2013

Have you heard the news? The Department of Education (DepEd) will already implement the K+12 basic education program next year. It will start with the conversion of first year high school to Grade 7.

The K+12 basic education plan consists of kindergarten, six years of elementary education, four years of junior high school (Grade 7 to 10), and two years of senior high school.

I really can’t say if this is good or bad news for all parents. With the economic situation our country is experiencing, for sure most parents cannot easily accept these changes in our education system.

Since we started using single motorcycle our gasoline expenses has greatly reduced. Aside from that, there’s also a big advantage in our traveling time because we can easily pass through heavy traffic. The only downside of riding a motorcycle is the risk associated with it. Anyway, I know this situation is just temporary. Who knows? blessings will pour out to us to the point that we can even buy an RV, our dream car.

Miracles do happen, so it is not impossible if it is God’s will, right? And it doesn’t matter to me if rv repair is costly, what matter is that we have our dream car with us. Seems impossible. But hey! There’s magic in believing! And I believe this coming year we will have a financial breakthrough.
