Filipina teens in Disney's High School Musical

My daughter Alyana is an avid fan of Disney Channel’s High School Musical. She has collections of their movie in DVD which she never gets bored of watching over and over. If only we have the means she really hope she could watch High School Musical in person. She even wished to be as talented and as lucky as these five Filipina teens who won the local competition of Disney’s High School Musical Dance Contest. A newspaper reported that five Filipina students from Holy Spirit School in Quezon City is RP’s representative in the dance tilt. My daughter also study at Holy Spirit School branch here in our province.

These teens formed their group and call it Janssen Knights , they only wanted to try if they could win the coveted trip to Hongkong Disneyland and get the chance to meet The Jonas Brothers. So they got their moves together and asked their friends to pitch in their project. With the support of their peers, Jessica Menez, Czarina Jose, Krizia Duka, Lyza Torsiende, and Julia Mella came up with an exciting video that showcased their dynamic dance moves and groves shot around their school campus. Sure enough they bested many other entries and very soon they will represent the Philippines in the finals of Disney Channel’s “High School Musical: My School Rockes 2008” to be held at Hongkong Disneyland.

The finals is set on August 30 where the winning team will be awarded with an exciting once-in-a-lifetime experience to perform live with professional casts in one of the latest park attractions at Hongkong Disneyland, High School Musical:LIVE! In addition all the finalist teams will also have their performances produced into a show that will air on Disney Channel across the region.
